OREANDA-NEWS. The International Aluminium Institute published the information that the total world production of primary aluminium in February 2007 made 1 million 870 thousand tons, and daily output totalled 66,8 thousand tons.

In particular, primary aluminium production in Africa in February made 143 thousand tons, in Northern America - 420 thousand tons, in Latin America - 191 thousand tons, in Asia - 283 thousand tons, in the Western Europe - 321 thousand tons, in East and the Central Europe - 334 thousand tons, and in Oceania - 178 thousand tons.

In January-February 2007, primary aluminium production in Africa totalled 302 thousand tons, in Northern America - 881 thousand tons, in Latin America - 402 thousand tons, in Asia - 596 thousand tons, in the Western Europe - 674 thousand tons, in East and the Central Europe - 698 thousand tons, and in Oceania - 374 thousand tons. In total, primary aluminium production in the world made 3 million 927 thousand tons.

In 2006, primary aluminium output in Africa made 1 million 864 thousand tons, in Northern America - 5 million 333 thousand tons, in Latin America - 2 million 493 thousand tons, in Asia - 3 million 494 thousand tons, in the Western Europe - 4 million 176 thousand tons, in East and the Central Europe - 4 million 232 thousand tons, and in Oceania - 2 million 274 thousand tons.

Total world production in 2006 has reached 23 million 866 thousand tons of primary aluminium, and daily output totalled 65,4 thousand tons.
