OREANDA-NEWS. Vyksa Steel Works (VSW, Nizhni Novgorod Region), a part of United Metallurgical Company (OMK), has summed up its production results for March and the first quarter 2007.

According to the press service of OMZ, the VSW pipe business has produced the largest volume of pipes in its history. It produced 168,945 tonnes of pipes to exceed its March 2006 (117,694 tonnes) result by 43.5%. From early 2007, VSW has produced 475,605 tonnes of pipes of various sizes.

The Works has manufactured 101,833 tonnes of large-diameter pipes (LDP) – a 60.5% increase as compared with March 2006 (61,654 tonnes).

In January-February 2007, Vyksa Steel Works produced 274,106 tonnes of LDP – a 67.5% increase YOY (163,694 tonnes). The largest consumers of VSW LDP used for main pipeline are Gazprom and Transneft.
