OREANDA-NEWS. In January-February 2007, Russia exported 6 million 602,7 thousand tons of ferrous metals to the amount of $2 billion 989 million.

According to the Federal customs service, export to the overseas countries totalled 6 million 20,8 thousand tons worth $2 billion 673,6 million, while export to the CIS amounted 581,9 thousand tons worth $315,3 million.

Without taking into account pig-iron, ferroalloys, waste and scrap metal Russia exported 4 million 604,7 thousand tons of ferrous metals worth $2 billion 303,6 million in January-February 2007. Export to the overseas countries made 4 million 197,7 thousand tons  worth $2 billion 41,8 million, while export to the CIS made 406,9 thousand tons worth $261,8 million.

In 2006, Russia exported 45 million 960,7 thousand tons of ferrous metals to the amount of $17 billion 847,5 million.
