OREANDA-NEWS. Vyksa Steel Works (VSW, Nizhni Novgorod Region), part of United Metallurgical Company (OMK), has summed up its production results for April and the four months of 2007.

According to the press service of OMK, in April 2007, VSW produced 158,924 tonnes of pipes - a 33,3% increase as compared with April 2006 (119,162 tonnes).

Since early 2007, VSW has manufactured 634,529 tonnes of pipes of various sizes - a 42,2% increase YOY (446,174 tonnes).

In April 2007, VSW manufactured 88,002 tonnes of large-diameter pipes (LDP) - a 39% as compared with April 2006 (63,388 tonnes). In January-April, the LDP production reached 362,108 tonnes - a 59,4% increase as compared with the similar period in 2006 (227,082 tonnes).

In April 2007, the VSW Wheel-Rolling Division produced 57,413 railroad wheels - a 37,2% increase YOY (41,858 wheels). In the 4 months of 2007, VSW manufactured a total of 230,043 wheels.
