OREANDA-NEWS. Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and his wife Anna Hakobyan were vaccinated against coronavirus infection.

«Today, Anna and I received a vaccination to protect ourselves from the coronavirus. We urge our citizens to actively apply to polyclinics and get vaccinated», Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook page and posted a video. According to him, it is very likely that in the second half of 2021, the leading countries will introduce entry restrictions for the unvaccinated.

The politician did not specify, what drug he was injected with. In winter, Armenia registered the Russian vaccine against the coronavirus «Sputnik V». In addition, the country has approved drugs from «AstraZeneca» and «Pfizer». In April, Mr. Pashinyan expressed great confidence in the Russian vaccine and announced it's first deliveries to the country.

In Armenia, traces of coronavirus infection were found in 216,863 people. More than 4.1 thousand died. The number of people cured of the infection is 200,472. 11,361 people are being treated. The total number of tests performed is 993,612.

It should be noted, that the state of emergency was in effect in Armenia from March 16 to September 11, 2020. Then the country introduced a quarantine, which will last until July 11, 2021.
