OREANDA-NEWS The UAE will become the partner country of the INNOPROM exhibition, which will be held in Yekaterinburg on July 8-11, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation said.

As noted in a press release distributed by the department, the UAE delegation will be headed by Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies, Special Representative for Russia Sultan bin Ahmed Al-Jaber.

"The UAE National Exposition will acquaint INNOPROM participants with promising developments and present priority areas of industrial and economic cooperation," the press release says.

In addition, as part of the INNOPROM business program, the Russia-UAE Strategic Business Forum will be held, "which will become a platform for discussing joint projects already underway and dialogue on the prospects for expanding cooperation in the field of industrial and technological cooperation," the Ministry of Industry and Trade reports.

The press release quotes the words of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov: "In recent years, Russian-Emirati relations have reached an unprecedented high level. Trade and economic cooperation is developing rapidly." According to him, "by the end of 2023, the bilateral trade turnover has crossed the $10 billion mark." In addition, Manturov noted, "joint projects in the field of industrial cooperation are being successfully implemented, an active dialogue is underway in the field of energy, agriculture, tourism, and humanitarian ties are expanding."

"The UAE's participation in the status of a partner country of the INNOPROM 2024 exhibition not only confirms the special nature of Russian-Emirati relations, but also gives an additional impetus to the development of cooperative ties in the most promising sectors of the economy," stressed Manturov, who is also co-chairman of the intergovernmental commission of the Russian Federation-UAE on trade, economic and technical cooperation.
