OREANDA-NEWS. Russian dealers of Renault sold 11,274 cars in March - more by 19% compared to the last year. According to the results of three months of 2017, the brand's sales in the Russian market were 26,108 cars, which is more by 12% than in the same period of the last year. As a result, Renault took the fourth place in sales among all automakers in Russia, and the market share of Renault was 8.1% compared to 7.3% a year before, according to AEB data. Strengthening the position of the company confirms the correctness of the strategy aimed at the development of local production of the model range, fully adapted to climatic and road local operating conditions and corresponding to the requirements of customers, informed the press service of Renault Russia.

The best seller of Renault in the Russian market is still the crossover Duster - in January-March, it was chosen by 8601 buyers (-20%). On the second place in the model range of Renault there was a compact crossover Kaptur, which was sold in amount of 6006 units. As it was noted, with the launch of Renault Kaptur, the company consolidated its leadership in the SUV segment, which also includes Sandero Stepway and Renault Duster.
