OREANDA-NEWS. For the first three quarters of 2007 sales volume of wine in Tetra Pak aseptic carton package has reached 108 million liters. By the end of the year the company's sales volume is to exceed 150 million liters, which is 50% more than in the year 2006.

The premium table wine segment in Tetra Pak innovative formats of packages shows the most dynamic increase. This year sales of wine in Tetra Prisma Aseptic 1000 ml Square, Tetra Brik Aseptic 1000 ml Square and Tetra Brik Aseptic 2000 ml Slim will grow on average by 150%. Active growth and huge potential of this segment attract more and more wine producers. Several companies introduced their wine in carton packages in 2007. Uniway Management launched the production of Monastyrskaya Trapeza table wine in Tetra Prisma Aseptic Square. Ezhen Bouzhele Wine used the same package format for its El Ambito, Bulgarian Vine, Bel Scatto and Di Viento. Bodegas Vinos is preparing the launch of Dolce Argentina and Al Paca in Tetra Brik Aseptic 1000 ml Slim with SlimCap.

Tetra Pak customers as well as retailers and consumers have already recognized the advantages of aseptic carton package, which guaranties product safety, ensures cost-efficient logistics, convenient opening and storage, and also provides additional marketing opportunities. According to Kestutis Sliuzas, Tetra Pak Russia Vice President, Marketing, Russia is the fastest growing market of wine in carton today. Increase of local production and rapid development of table wine segment are the main features that characterize the Russian wine market. "We forecast further growth for wine in carton in Russia at around 20% a year," says Kestutis Sliuzas. Tetra Pak Russia cooperates with the largest Russian wine producing companies, including Krasnoarmeisky KPP, Milstrim Chernomorskiye Vina, Gerrus Group, Vinexport, Russkaya Loza, APF Phanagoria, ZAO Bodegas Valdepablo-Neva and others.
