OREANDA-NEWS. On 01 July 2008 Pharmacy Chain 36.6 announced its operational results for Q1 2008 (unaudited)*.

Consolidated sales in Q1 2008 totaled USD 280.0 million, which is a 50.5% increase from Q1 2007**.

Sales in the pharmacy retail chain totaled USD 229.6 million, representing a 54.4% growth as compared with Q1 2007.  The sales in the pharmacies opened or acquired before 01.01.07 reached USD 166.4 million, which is 75.8% of total sales.  The sales in the pharmacies opened or acquired after 01.01.07 amounted USD 53.1 million, which is 24.2% of total sales.

Sales in the pharmaceutical manufacturing segment totaled USD 34.8 million, which is a 44.0% year on year increase.

Sales in the Medical services segment totaled USD 8.2 million, which is a 30.2% year on year growth.

Sales in the Children goods retail segment totaled USD 0.9 million, which is a 131.0% year on year growth.

By the end of Q1 2008, Pharmacy Chain 36.6 included 1 215 pharmacies located in 29 Russian regions.

In Q1 2008 the Company organically opened 21 pharmacies, re-branded 6 pharmacies and closed 33 pharmacies.

As of the end of Q1 2008, Pharmacy Chain 36.6 managed 14 separate eyewear stores and 23 eyewear kiosks located inside the Company’s pharmacies.

In Q1 2008, two Early Learning Center (ELC) stores were opened. As of the end of Q1 2008 there were 9 ELC stores.

Throughout Q1 2008 a total of 27.5 million purchases were made at the Company’s pharmacies representing a 31.6% year on year growth. Pharmacies opened or acquired before 01.01.07 account for 19.3 million purchases, which represents 70.3% of total purchases. There were 9.5 million purchases made in the Central region (Moscow-Central) which is a 30.1% increase over last year. Other regions demonstrated 32.1% growth year on year.
