OREANDA-NEWS. October 6, 2008. A CIS Nano-Technology Center will be built in Dubna, Moscow region, on the basis of Joint Nuclear Research Institute. Such a decision was made during a conference of the heads of the science and technology agencies of 10 CIS-member states in Bishkek, reports Russian News Service.

The conference took place on Oct 2–3 2008. The conferees discussed the prospects of development of nano-technologies in the CIS, possibilities of forming single scientific research system and establishing a center for cooperation in the field of fundamental science. Such a center would set and coordinate cooperation priorities in the field of nano-technologies and would solve the problem of financing of joint projects.
