OREANDA-NEWS. February 4, 2009. The cooperation of Siemens and Rosatom will strengthen their positions, Director General of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation Sergey Kiriyenko told journalists after a meeting with the managers of Siemens on Tuesday.

“Consolidation of efforts will considerably strengthen the positions of Rosatom and Siemens on the world market,” Kiriyenko said.

Siemens has supplied equipment for a number of Russian projects, particularly, for the construction of Tianwan NPP in China and will supply an automated process control system for Belene, a nuclear power plant that is being built by Russian Atomstroyexport in Bulgaria.

“Tianwan NPP was our first experience of cooperation with Siemens, when they supplied us with their control systems. And it was quite successful experience,” Director General of the Russian Energy Efficiency Union Semyon Dragulsky said in an interview.
