OREANDA-NEWS. On 30 July 2009 was announced, that UTair Murmansk LLC, a subsidiary of UTair Aviation, JSC (UTair Aviation) completed the registration procedure in July 2009.

UTair Murmansk will represent the Company’s interests on the territory of the North- European part of Russia, mainly in terms of promoting Company’s helicopter services and passenger carriages in the region thus creating new beneficial opportunities for UTair customers and partners. As the company’s official representative, the new subsidiary signed an agreement with the authorities of Murmansk Region to carry passengers and cargoes into some not easily accessible areas of the Region and perform MEDEVAC flights. UTair Murmansk is also planning to enter into contracts on rendering air services along the North Sea Route – the shortest Arctic waterway connecting European and Far East ports of the Russian Federation.

UTair Murmansk intends to provide UTair with a large scope of helicopter operations under commercial agreements, namely the new subsidiary is able to offer its potential customers and partners a wide range of air services: construction and installation services, geological exploration air support, loading and off-loading services as well as services provided to oil and gas companies. Provision of services for the tourist industry of Murmansk Region - air support of the walking tours on the territory of Kolsky Peninsula and to the North Pole - will become a separate line of UTair Murmansk and UTair joint activity.

In order to work efficiently in the North-European part of Russia UTair Aviation entered into a cooperation and joint operations agreement with the leading helicopter operator of the Nenetz autonomous district Naryanmar united air group JSC. The Company is also planning to enter into a similar agreement with the Federal State Unitary Enterprise II Arkhangelsk united air group. Aircraft fleet (mainly Mil Mi-8 helicopters and Antonov An-2 airplanes) and flight personnel of UTair and the above mentioned air groups will be used jointly to perform helicopter operations on the territory of the North-European part of Russia.
