OREANDA-NEWS. December 07, 2010. Wind Power (DTEK) has undertaken to invest UAH6.4m into transport and social infrastructure of Zaporozhye Region in 2010-2015. During this period, DTEK plans to implement a pilot alternative energy project and build Botievo wind farm with an installed capacity of 200 MW in Priazovskiy district of this region.
 
The corresponding agreement on shared participation was signed in Zaporozhye by Yuriy Zhabskiy, the Director of Wind Power (DTEK), Stanislav Limarchuk, the Deputy Chairman of the Zaporozhye Regional State Administration, and the heads of the administrative-territorial units, on the territory of which the wind farm will be constructed. As a part of the agreement, during the next two months Wind Power Company undertakes to transfer UAH400,000 to the local budget of Botievo Village Council for the purchase of a school bus. The remaining amount will be transferred by equal parts after the completion of each of three construction stages and commissioning of the corresponding wind farm parts.

Private capital plays an important role in the state program aimed at replacing conventional power generation. In our turn, we are ready to make considerable investment not only in production objects, largest wind farms in Ukraine, but also in local infrastructure development'.
