OREANDA-NEWS. April 05, 2011. Power Trade (DTEK) has started commercial electricity supply to Moldova starting April 01, 2011.
 
According to Andrey Favorov, the Director of Power Trade, the expected volume of monthly supply to Moldova will be from 75 to 100 GWh while the power of supply will be up to 150 MW.
 
“DTEK expects that electricity supply from Ukraine will meet 30-50% of electricity needs of Moldova till the end of the year, and favorable pricing environment will contribute to it. Commercial electricity supply from Ukraine will help to ensure stable parallel operation of the energy systems of Ukraine and Moldova”, Andrey Favorov said.
 
Power Trade (DTEK) purchased the right to export electricity to Moldova following the results of the annual auction held on December 14, 2010 by NEC Ukrenergo to sell an access to the transmission capacity of the cross-border electrical network of Ukraine, and the monthly auction held on March 16, 2011.
