OREANDA-NEWS. April 7, 2011. The General Meeting of Shareholders of DTEK Energougol ENE has appointed Igor Koval as General Director. 
 
Mr Koval started his career in the power sector at Donbassenergo Western Electricity Networks Enterprise in 1992. After graduating from Donetsk National Technical University in 1998, he worked in Donetsk Western Electric Networks of Donetskoblenergo as an Engineer and later as a Principal Engineer of the high-voltage transmission line service. In 2002–2005, Mr Koval was the Chief Engineer of Yasinovatskiy Unit of Donetsk Western Electric Networks of Donetskoblenergo. In May 2005, he was appointed the Technical Director of Energougol ENE. Since May 2010, Mr Koval has been the Acting General Director of Energougol ENE.
 
Igor Koval initiated and was in charge of the reorganization of the company’s technical division and the creation of new departments: distribution networks service, substations service, relay protection and automation service, technical and engineering departments.
 
‘Over the last years we have designed the Company’s long-term development programme that resulted in the gradual upgrade and modernization of all the networks of Energougol ENE. Every year we manage to accomplish our investment programme and main major overhaul plans in full which ensures uninterrupted supplies of electricity to industrial consumers, mining enterprises and households. In the future, the Company will continue implementing programmes aimed at reliable supplies to consumers and more efficient power equipment utilization,’ Mr Koval said.

DTEK Energougol ENErepresents DTEK’s electricity distribution business. It supplies electricity to coal mining companies, engineering enterprises, food and consumer goods producers, state-financed organizations and households of Donetsk city and Donetsk Region. DTEK Energougol ENE operates 107 distribution substations, 290 transformer substations, 446.55 km of overhead power transmission lines, and 717.95 km of cable electricity transmission lines.

Also DTEK rents the whole production complex of state owned coal mining company Dobropolyeugol (5 mines) . The Lease Agreement with 49 years tenure was signed with the State Property Fund of Ukraine.
 
The power generation business of DTEK is represented by Eastenergo (Vostokenergo) and the associate companies Dniproenergo, where DTEK owns 47.55%, and Zakhidenergo, where DTEK together with affiliate companies owns 24.9%.
 
Service-Invest, DTEK Energougol ENE and the associated Donetskoblenergo Company, where DTEK owns 30.6%, represent the electricity sales and supply business of DTEK.
 
DTEK also holds a 39.98% stake in Kievenergo, which provides a full cycle of energy supply to Ukraine’s capital, with a unified process for production, transport and supply of heat and electric energy.
