OREANDA-NEWS. August 2, 2011. KAMAZ-Metallurgy OJSC received new certificates indicating that the management system of the enterprise complies with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.

The certification documents were given to Director of KAMAZ-Metallurgy Vladimir Abramov by General Director of LLC  "Russian Register – Povolzhye" Andrey Yashin. According to him, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification is a step to the future rather than a step towards business improvement, although it is also very significant. "Nowadays, it is important to deal with environmental and occupational safety,” said Yashin. “So, that comprehensive work carried out by your workers in these areas is an example for many other companies."

The new certificates provide documentary evidence of the successfully passed recertification audit which the specialists of "Russian Register" held in "KAMAZ-Metallurgy" OJSC this April. The audit proved that the environmental management system of the company complies with the requirements of ISO 14001:2004 in terms of design, manufacture and sales of castings from cast iron, steel and nonferrous alloys and forged blanks, and the management system in the field of occupational safety and health complies with the requirements of OHSAS 18001:2007.
