OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2012. The branch of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company in Novosibirsk paid 1.1 million rubles to Lesnaya Polyana OJSC for the damaged harvest of spring wheat. The proprietorship is located in Kochenevsky district of Novosibirsk Region, it produces grain crop.

The future harvest of spring wheat on the area of 1,999 ha was insured against such risks as hail, atmospheric and soil drought, frost, early appearance or formation of snow cover, strong wind (hurricane), water saturation of soils, fire, plant diseases, crop infestation, and others.

 The insured event was the soil drought in Kochenevsky district of Novosibirsk Region in June–July 2011, which led to reduction in yields of spring wheat. In order to determine the amount of damage, an examination was held (determination of the biological productivity of the damaged crops), according to which, the event was recognized as insured, and Ingosstrakh Insurance Company paid the insurance indemnity to Lesnaya Polyana OJSC in full.

The insured harvest was the subject of pledge with Novosibirsk regional branch of Rosselkhozbank JSC within the framework of the credit agreement.

Ingosstrakh Insurance Company and Lesnaya Polyana OJSC have been cooperating in the area of agri-industrial insurance since 2006.
