OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2012. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has won a tender for property insurance organized by Russian Post. The total amount of policies is RUB 5.6 billion.

The company will provide insurance protection of Russian Post’s property in the Russian Federation. Under a separate policy, an automated sorting center (ASC) in the Moscow Region will be insured.

The policies cover buildings, rooms and structures leased or owned by Russian Post, as well as process and office equipment.

The insurance plan provides protection from risks of fire, lightning strike, explosion of steam boilers, gas storages, gas pipelines, machines, apparatuses and similar pressurized equipment, the risks of damage by water (or other liquids) as a result of breakage of heating, sewage, water supply or firefighting pipelines filled with water (or other liquids). Additionally, the policy covers the risks of natural calamities, theft, unlawful behavior of third parties, terrorist acts, the fall of manned aircrafts and their pieces, the fall of trees, construction equipment, ice and snow blocks and other objects.

Ingosstrakh Insurance Company and Russian Post have a long history of cooperation in insurance of property, motor transport, cargoes and liability.
