OREANDA-NEWS. April 20, 2012. Troika Dialog today announces the appointment of Anatoly Popov as head of the company’s retail business. One of Mr Popov’s main tasks will be the gradual integration of Troika Dialog’s distribution network into Sberbank’s retail arm on the basis of the Sberbank1 premium network. At Sberbank Anatoly Popov will continue to serve as Vice President of the bank’s retail arm and supervise the work of the Department for Retail Service and Sales, Operational Management Division and also the Affluent Client Service Division.

Mr Popov joined Sberbank in May 2011 from Vimpelcom where he headed the company’s Kazakh operations. Prior to this Anatoly Popov worked at InBev (after its merger with Anheuser-Busch to become Anheuser-Busch InBev), where he was responsible for sales and commercial operations. Before Inbev, he was employed at Wrigley, going from trade representative to Regional Sales Director for the Western Siberian Region in four years.

“Today we are experiencing growing client demand for modern financial solutions that include both commercial and investment banking services,” said Alexander Torbakhov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee of Sberbank of Russia. Mr Torbakhov will oversee integration and development of the private client business on behalf of Sberbank. He remarked: “I am sure that the forthcoming integration of Sberbank and Troika Dialog will allow us to satisfy this demand as quickly as possible and attain leading positions on the comprehensive banking services market.”
