OREANDA-NEWS. September 25, 2012.  Anhui province and Manitoba, Canada signed a cooperation memo in Shanghai on Sept 17. Anhui Governor Li Bin and Greg Sellinger, governor of Manitoba, attended the signing ceremony. Provincial Deputy Governor Hua Jianhui and Han Xiancong, general secretary of the Anhui provincial government, took part in the activity.

Manitoba, the fifth largest province in Canada, is a leader in agriculture, agricultural machinery production and food processing. The two regions have been positively promoting high-level mutual visits and nongovernmental exchanges and have cooperated in agriculture, trade and education since 2000.

"It is a key period for Anhui to develop rapidly. Unique geographic advantage, rich resources and a broad market have increased the importance of Anhui in general regional development," said Li Bin.

Li expressed that Anhui would seize this opportunity to enhance communication and improve cooperation with partners.
