OREANDA-NEWS. Monforts Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH (a subsidiary of the Kirov Group) presented its latest machine-tool manufacture developments at METAV 2014 in Dusseldorf.

The centrepiece of Monforts Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH's stand was the UniCen 1000 HPM machining center. This high-performance machine tool is designed to drill, turn and mill parts out of hard-to-cut materials. It is also suitable for working with chromium-nickel, nickel and titanium alloys used in power engineering. The machine tool's hydrostatic guiding Z-axis, enlarged to 2,500mm, allows large items to be machined.

During the exhibition, the Monforts stand was visited by dozens of senior managers of Europe's leading machine-building enterprises. Both visitors and participants of METAV showed great interest in the German manufacturer's turning and milling machining centers. A series of negotiations was also held on long-range purchase orders for Monforts products and on various projects of the machine-tool manufacturing enterprise.
