General Dynamics Information Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), has been awarded a place on the UK Managed Email Services Framework by the Crown Commercial Service. As one of five awardees, General Dynamics will support UK's policy to centrally manage the procurement of common goods and services through an integrated procurement function that spans four years.

Under this framework, General Dynamics will provide a mix of core and common components including managed email services, delivery and migration services, secure email, secure message and routing, mobile device management, white pages and directory service, to a variety of public sector and non-profit organizations. Leveraging cloud computing capabilities, the company offers secure, cloud-based email services that deliver greater effectiveness, flexibility and lower total cost of ownership. General Dynamics will help organizations rapidly provision a shared environment, as well as build out and foster communication capabilities without interrupting the user experience.
