OREANDA-NEWS. Chernogorsky open strip mine of JSC "SUEK-Khakassia" has fulfilled its annual plan in the amount of 6.5 million tons. One of the key success factors for the company is its consistent implementation of the program of technical modernization of the strip mine. So in November 2015, the company received four new BelAZ dump trucks with carrying capacity of 220 tons. These tracks are currently being prepared for use. Earlier this spring, the enterprise received four Komatsu РС4000 dirt movers as well as four CHETRA Т35 bulldozers. These acquisitions will allow the company to increase its production volumes even further.

In 2014, Chernogorsky Open Strip Mine of "SUEK-Khakassia" brought to surface over 6.8 million tons of coal. The team has high hopes to improve this result in 2015. Over the years, the strip mine shows a steady growth in coal production. In 2007, the production totaled in 3.5 million tons, by 2014 it almost doubled, reaching 6.8 million tons thanks to the implementation of a comprehensive program of upgrades and acquisition of the latest technology. In September 2015,  Chernogorsky Open Strip Mine was visited by members of the Board of Directors of SUEK headed by Andrey Melnichenko, who discussed the prospects of further development of SUEK enterprises in Khakassia.

- "According to the JSC "SUEK" strategy of new equipment acquisition for extractive industries of the company in the Republic of Khakassia", - says the executive director of "SUEK-Khakassia", Alexey Kilin. - "The new equipment has allowed us to to create the third complex stripmining brigade. The effectiveness of these integrated brigades was proven in 2015: in January the Komatsu РС4000 №34 brigade, led by Andrey Lukin, set the world record in rock mass loading in the dump trucks by reaching the level of 844,000 m?. Half a year later they beat their own record by shipping over 900,000 m? of rock mass".
