OREANDA-NEWS. Danone opened a laboratory at the Istra-Nutricia baby food factory in the Moscow Region, spending 100 million rubles for this purpose. This was said in a statement.

"The Danone baby food production plant in Istra, Moscow Region, has opened a new laboratory. Investments in its construction and equipment amounted to about 100 million rubles", the report says. As specified in Danone, only Russian companies were engaged in design and construction.

The created laboratory complies with Russian and European standards. It will allow to introduce testing at the request of countries interested in importing baby food from Russia, as well as to support the localization of raw materials due to the strictest control of quality parameters. The company is considering the potential for exporting products to countries in the Middle East.

As noted by the Director General of the plant Pavel Pevnev, the main task of the laboratory in the production is to ensure timely quality and safety control of products.
