OREANDA-NEWS. Analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" has conducted the market research of new cars in Russia, and it has calculated the revenue from sales for the first 9 months of 2016. According to the study, during this period, Russians spent on the purchase of new passenger cars 1.29 trillion rubles, which is less by about 1% than in the same period of the last year.

The leader in sales in the Russian market is the Japanese Toyota, which from the sale of new cars received 149.9 billion rubles – more by 3.9% than a year before. With a slight lag in the second place there is the German Mercedes-Benz, whose figure for the reporting period was 147.6 billion rubles (+ 8.5%).

The third place is occupied by Korean KIA, which managed to earn 107.6 billion rubles (+ 2.4%).
