Gao Feng stressed that Russia ranks first among the main trade partners of China in the dynamics of trade growth. Beijing continues to be the largest trading partner of Moscow, in turn, Russia ranks tenth in this indicator among China's partners.

The representative of the Ministry noted that Beijing is ready to continue to make efforts for the development of Sino-Russian relations. "According to our statistics, by mid-December the volume of Chinese - Russian trade for 2018 exceeded $100 billion, breaking the historical record," he said. According to him, such progress is primarily due to the optimization of the structure of bilateral trade.

According to the General customs administration of the PRC, the trade turnover between the countries in January-November 2018 increased by 27.8 percent compared to the same period in 2017 and amounted to 97.23 billion dollars. Chinese exports to Russia grew by 12 percent to $ 43.45 billion, while imports from Russia grew by 44.3 percent to $ 53.78 billion.

According to the Chinese official, Russia is currently in the lead among China's main trade partners in terms of trade growth.

Gao Feng expressed confidence in the further development of bilateral trade relations with Moscow.

According to forecasts, the bilateral flow of goods and services between Russia and China in 2019 may exceed $110 billion.
