Journalists drew attention to the complaints of users in social networks, who were unable to make a payment in the App Store through the phone number. Previously, this option was available to subscribers of most operators in Russia.

The authors of the media contacted Apple Technical Support, where they were told that subscribers of operators Megafon and Yota were limited in their ability to top up the App Store through their phone number. The company's technicians explained it by "current regulations. At the same time, Apple said that it is possible to recharge through a phone number of MTS and "Beeline".

The option to recharge the App Store through the phone number has become especially popular after the disconnection of Apple Pay and restrictions on Visa and Mastercard cards in Russia. Through the App Store you can pay for subscriptions to various services and purchase paid applications.
