Peskov: The Resignation of Senior Police Officers in the Regions is Related to Personnel Rotation
Earlier, it was reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed three regional chiefs and three heads of the central office of the Interior Ministry. Governor of the Kirov Region Igor Vasilyev was resigning.
Vasiliev expressed gratitude to the government of the Kirov region and the heads of municipalities for their joint work, and wished the region sustainable development and prosperity.
On July 28, 2016, Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Igor Vasilyev as interim Governor of the Kirov region. On September 19, 2017 Vasiliev became the head of the region.
