OREANDA-NEWS Director of the second department of the CIS Foreign Ministry Alexey Polishchuk said in an interview that the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine were conducted in the video format almost daily.

Polishchuk recalled that three face-to-face rounds were held in Belarus, which is the main venue, and another one was held in Turkey. At present the negotiations are held in video format "almost daily.

Polishchuk also said that Moscow insisted on involving Minsk as a party to future agreements with Kiev. Earlier, the diplomat expressed the opinion that the five permanent members of the UN Security Council - Russia, China, the UK, the US and France - could act as guarantors for Ukraine.

Earlier, the head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinskiy, said that Moscow and Kiev had managed to maximally reconcile their positions on the neutral status and non-accession of Ukraine to NATO.
