OREANDA-NEWS Executive director of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) Vladimir Sengleev made a statement that the ROC plans to allocate 1.8 billion rubles to support sports federations in 2022-2023.

"In 2022-2023, we are ready to allocate about 1.8 billion rubles to support activities of sports federations, the purchase of equipment, training camps, sports rehabilitation," - said Sengleev.

He also noted that the ROC is still working on appeals against suspensions of Russian athletes from international competitions.

February 28, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) issued an appeal to the sports federations and recommended them to ban Russian and Belarusian athletes from any competition.

Earlier, State Duma deputy Dmitry Svishev reacted to the information that the Ukrainian volleyball team will take the place of the Russian team at the world championship in 2022.
