OREANDA-NEWS On December 13, India hosted a meeting of the Russian-Indian intergovernmental Commission on military hardware chaired by the heads of military departments of Russia and India Sergei Shoigu and Nirmala Sitharaman.

Plans to establish in India the production of Kalashnikov assault rifles, production Of ka-226T helicopters were discussed at a meeting of the intergovernmental Commission on military-technical cooperation (MTC), Deputy defense Minister Colonel General Alexander Fomin told reporters.

The participants of the meeting discussed the preparation of the program of military-technical cooperation until 2030, including a detailed plan to establish the release of the Kalashnikov assault rifle in India, Deputy defense Minister Colonel General Alexander Fomin said. In addition, we discussed the organization of production of Ka-226T helicopters in India and signed an agreement on the establishment of the Russian-Indian intergovernmental Commission on military-technical cooperation.

"We discussed the preparation of the program of military-technical cooperation until 2030, the organization of Production of ka-226T helicopters in India," Fomin said, summing up the meeting, which was held on Thursday in new Delhi.

"We reviewed in detail the steps to establish the production of Kalashnikov assault rifles in India in 2019," Fomin said. According to him, "paid close attention to the quality of after-sales service."

"We signed an agreement on the establishment of the Russian-Indian intergovernmental Commission on military and military-technical cooperation, which will complete the restructuring of the intergovernmental Commission and establish closer cooperation in the military sphere," Fomin said.

The meeting of the Russian-Indian intergovernmental Commission on MTC was chaired by the heads of military departments of the two countries Sergei Shoigu and Nirmala Sitharaman.
