OREANDA-NEWS. Prime Minister Pavel Filip today received the co-rapporteur of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) for Moldova ?gmundur Jonasson, on a fact-collecting visit to Chisinau. At the meeting, ?gmundur Jonasson was accompanied by Head of the Council of |Europe’s Office in Moldova Jose-Luis Herrero.

Prime Minister Pavel Filip welcomed the visit by PACE co-rapporteurs to Moldova, stressing that it was meant to help develop the next country report. “We appreciate Moldova’s partnership with the Council of Europe (CoE) and the interest with which CoE keeps an eye on the developments in our country,” Pavel Filip said.   

The Prime Minister reviewed the priorities and goals of the governmental team. In this context, Pavel Filip referred to actions undertaken to give an impetus to the justice reform, create friendly conditions for the development of the business and investment environments, as well as to deepen the dialogue with the civil society.  

According to Pavel Filip, an important objective is winning an agreement with IMF, re-establishment of the relations with the donors and ensuring financial stability and predictability of Moldova. Prime Minister Pavel Filip stressed that the government was firmly determined to carry out the reforms set, enjoying also the backing of the parliamentary majority.
