27 American Organizations Ask Biden to Resume Dialogue with Russia
OREANDA-NEWS. "Stop reckless statements about Vladimir Putin and move on to constructive dialogue with Russia". A letter with such a demand to Joe Biden was sent at once by 27 American organizations.
The authors of the letter indicate that they are deeply alarmed by the aggravation of relations between the heads of the two nuclear powers.
The US President was called upon to intensify negotiations with Moscow on the issue of armaments. Biden was also reminded of his own statement that diplomacy is at the center of US international politics.
The authors of the message wrote: "As national organizations advocating for diplomacy, arms control, disarmament and peace, we are deeply alarmed by the recent negative exchanges between the leaders of the two countries, which have more than 90 percent of the world's nuclear warheads in their arsenals."
Human rights activists, lawyers, journalists, including Biden's party members, left their signatures under the appeal.
The United States is doomed to negotiate with Russia, according to Alexei Bogdanovsky, RIA Novosti correspondent in Washington. According to Bogdanovsky, the United States will still have to come to an agreement with everyone, despite the offensive statements of the country's president.
