OREANDA-NEWS. The bill on the exit of Great Britain from the European Union (Brexit) is scheduled to be submitted to the Parliament on December 20. This was announced by the office of the Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Reuters agency reports, citing the official representative of the office, the bill will be aimed at establishing the terms of an agreement reached earlier between Johnson and the European Union. The new composition of the House of Commons of the Parliament will consider the bill.

In October, the Brexit bill, which included Johnson’s agreement with the European Union on the terms of the exit of the United Kingdom, was approved by the Parliament on second reading. After that, the deputies refused to continue consideration of the bill on an expedited procedure. As a result, the Johnson’s government withdrew the document from consideration and organized early elections to the House of Commons, held on December 12.

The Conservative Party received 365 seats in the lower house of the Parliament. So, opposition parties will not be able to stop the government from implementing Brexit.

The first vote may pass before the Christmas holidays. The process of approval of a deal should be completed in January. As Johnson plans, the kingdom will leave the EU by the end of the first month of the year.

On October 28, it became known that 27 EU countries agreed to delay Brexit for three months. The date of UK exit from the EU is postponed to January 31, 2020. The parties should agree on all the details of future cooperation and conclude a new trade agreement.
