According to results of a survey conducted by the Russia Public Opinion Research Center on March 12, 64 % of citizens intend to vote in favour of the proposed changes to the Constitution of the country. “Since March 6, this share of Russians has increased by 22 percentage points,” the official website of the Center reports.

73 % of Russians are aware that among other amendments to the Constitution approved by the State Duma, a norm that allows President Vladimir Putin to be elected for a new term, has been fixed.

87 % of citizens are informed about the upcoming vote. 69 % of respondents said that they plan to take part in the vote, and 45 % “express an extreme degree of confidence in this.”
