OREANDA-NEWS. September 25, 2008. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov on September 24, in New York, during the 63rd Session of the UN General Assembly, met with the President of the Republic of Serbia, Boris Tadic.

During the conversation, prospects for the implementation of key bilateral cooperation projects were discussed, with regard for the agreements for the development of strategic partnership in the oil and gas sector that were reached through contacts at summit level in January-February this year.

The interlocutors also exchanged assessments of the state of affairs in Kosovo settlement. The Russian side reaffirmed the readiness to continue assisting Serbia in upholding its lawful rights and interests in the settlement of the Kosovo problem.
