OREANDA-NEWS. October 13, 2008. The Polish specialists delivered a series of the lectures on current world politics at the Institute of International Affairs. The action organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the framework of academic exchange is a component of the programme on involvement of foreign experts in the educational process at the newly established institution of higher education training future specialists for the national foreign ministry.

The Institute was established to form the uniform system of training and retraining specialists for the diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan. The state-of-the-art multimedia and interactive equipment and modern teaching aids and workbooks help in the studies of international diplomacy. To thoroughly study the best practice of the leading higher educational establishments worldwide and to maintain co-operation between Turkmenistan and the European states and the CIS the lectures, seminars and workshops involving the specialists of the leading universities and institutes from different countries are scheduled. The lectures of the current issues of world politics will allow future diplomats to study the best European practice in various trends in international relations and diplomacy

Since the beginning of this academic year the professors of the British university have delivered the lectures on the aspects of international law. The two-day seminar focused on the major norms of international criminal law involving the British experts was held.

The Polish experts had the meetings with the administration of the Institute and appreciated the high professional level of the teaching staff and the high intellectual level of the students. Reaffirming the willingness to continue co-operation in the sphere of education the guests expressed keen interest in establishing close academic exchange.
