OREANDA-NEWS. October 24, 2008. Mr Medvedev announced the appointment of Elbrus Kargiyev as ambassador to the Republic of South Ossetia and Semyon Grigoriev as ambassador to the Republic of Abkhazia at a meeting with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and the new ambassadors.
