OREANDA-NEWS  On 03 March was announced, that Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves met with the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Estonia, Galymzhan Koishybayev, who handed over his authorisation documents to the Head of State.

President Ilves and Ambassador Koishybayev emphasised the good relations between Estonia and Kazakhstan and discussed opportunities for extending the development of economic relations, including the cooperation between companies in the field of transit. The President of the Republic stressed the importance of the construction of the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline, which will enable Central Asian gas to be exported to Europe via the Nabucco gas pipeline.

President Ilves also confirmed Estonia's willingness to share its experience with Kazakhstan in the fields of IT and e-government.
