OREANDA-NEWS. March 04, 2010. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov met with visiting Prime Minister Milorad Dodik of Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Principal attention was paid to discussing topical practical issues in bilateral cooperation, with emphasis on the realization of major joint investment projects and on deepening energy collaboration. The dynamic expansion of ties between economic entities of Russia and Republika Srpska was noted.

In examining problems in the fulfillment of the General Framework Agreement for Peace in BiH (Dayton Peace Agreement), the sides highlighted their mutual commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country and the necessity of strictly observing Dayton. And they particularly underlined the urgency of swiftly carrying out the task long envisaged by the Peace Implementation Council Steering Committee, of transforming the Office of the High Representative into the Mission of the EU Special Representative on the basis of meeting the well-known conditions and criteria.
