OREANDA-NEWS. May 21, 2010. The terminology of the Federal Law On Physical Culture and Sports in the Russian Federation has been brought in line with the International Convention against Doping in Sport (2005). The law also contains an exhaustive list of doping violations, and formalises the status of Russia’s National Anti-Doping Organization, whose tasks include the development of national anti-doping rules, their enforcement, and doping control.

In addition, the Federal Law On Physical Culture and Sports in the Russian Federation defines anti-doping authority of a federal executive body as regards physical culture and sports, and specifies the responsibilities of Russia’s national sports federations and sports event organizers in this area.
