OREANDA-NEWS. May 28, 2010. Valery Gayevsky briefed the President on the measures being taken to support the families of those killed and injured in the terrorist act in Stavropol, and to establish the causes of the explosion.

Mr Medvedev said that he discussed the situation yesterday with law enforcement officials, and noted that the Investigative Committee of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Prosecutor’s Office, and the Federal Security Service were taking all the necessary measures.

Dmitry Medvedev instructed the Government to take the necessary measures to make payments to the families of those killed and injured in the terrorist act.

On May 26 an improvised explosive device went off at Stavropol’s House of Culture, killing seven and injuring 45 people.
