OREANDA-NEWS. August 31, 2010.  A member of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs Brent Woolfork is on a working visit to the Turkmen capital in these days.

The guest was received at the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, where he was briefed on the activity of the national Parliament and its role in promoting democratic reforms launched in the country on the initiative of the national leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The issues regarding further enhancement of inter-parliamentary contacts were discussed during the meeting.

The congressman was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources of Turkmenistan. The meetings focused on the prospects for enhancing further Turkmen-American cooperation that had been dynamically developed in recent years.

In Ashgabat Mr. Brent Woolfork will visit the interactive multimedia training internet centre affiliated with the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and the Main National Museum.
