OREANDA-NEWS. December 17, 2010. During these days a high-level delegation led by Jibrail Butros Jaara, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lebanon to Turkmenistan (Yerevan-based residence) is on a visit in the Turkmen capital.

During the visit the guests from the friendly country had the meetings at the national ministries and departments, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy and Development, the Ministry of Construction and the Central Bank, which focused on the ways to intensify further Turkmen-Lebanese mutually advantageous cooperation in a wide spectrum of fields.

Underscoring the effectiveness of the meetings and talks held in Ashgabat, Mr. Jibrail Butros Jaara confirmed that his country was keenly interested in stepping up fruitful cooperation with Turkmenistan. The benefits of this cooperation were conditioned by not only the profound resource potential and favourable geographical location of our country, but also the policy of wide international cooperation pursued by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov that created the conditions conducive to effective and long-term collaboration.

During the visit the Ambassador and the members of the delegation of the Republic of Lebanon visited the landmarks of the Turkmen capital, including the Main National Museum, the Turkmen Carpet Museum and the Nisa Historical and Cultural Reserve.
