OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2011. In the framework of his visit to the French Republic, Deputy Chief of Staff at the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Andrii Goncharuk has met with diplomatic adviser to the President of France Jean-David Levitte.

At the meeting sides have discussed the current state and prospects of Ukrainian-French relations, Ukraine’s European integration course, etc. The need to intensify negotiations between Ukraine and the EU on the Association Agreement and Free Trade Area was emphasized.

The parties noted significant dynamics of implementation of the agreements reached during the official visit of the President of Ukraine to France in October 2010, including the implementation of the provisions of the Ukrainian-French Relations Roadmap.

Separately was discussed the preparation for international level events in Kyiv in April 2011 to mark the 25th anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy.
