OREANDA-NEWS. April 8, 2011. A telephone conversation between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tunisia Mouldi Kefi took place at the Tunisian side’s initiative.

The sides discussed prospects for the development of Russian-Tunisian relations in different areas. They emphasized mutual interest in the full implementation of the decisions of the Fourth Session of the bilateral Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation held in Moscow on October 2010. Kefi conveyed an invitation to Lavrov to make a working visit to Tunis at a convenient time to him to discuss the entire range of ties between the two countries and to determine ways for their further deepening.

The Tunisian minister also raised the question of resuming the Russian tourist flow to the coastal resort zones of his country. Sergey Lavrov informed him that the possibility of adjusting the Russian MFA advice for compatriots to refrain from travel to Tunisia is being considered.
