OREANDA-NEWS. April 19, 2011. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov met United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on the sidelines of the Russia-NATO Council ministerial session in Berlin on April 15.

They discussed a number of topical bilateral issues, particularly a schedule of upcoming contacts at the Summit and other high level meetings. Special attention was devoted to the work of the Russian-American Presidential Commission, collaboration in the context of Russia’s accession to the WTO and cooperation in the missile defense domain. During their exchange of views on key international themes, the Ministers touched, in particular, on the situation surrounding Libya and on the prospects for the Middle East peace process.
