OREANDA-NEWS. July 01, 2011. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lebanon to Turkmenistan Mr. Jibrail Butros Jaara, who had accomplished his diplomatic mission to our country, was received at the Mejlis and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Evaluating highly the state policy pursued by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the constructive initiatives on global security and sustainable development, the diplomat said that the Government of the Republic of Lebanon was keenly interested in intensifying mutually advantageous partnerships with our country. The plenipotentiary representative emphasized that he admitted profoundly the ambitious reforms taking place in the country to improve the standards and quality of life of citizens of Turkmenistan.

Focusing on the existing potential to intensify cooperation between the two countries, the head of the national Parliament and the Ambassador exchanged views on the prospects of interstate collaboration. The sides called for establishing inter-parliamentary contacts as an essential aspect of relations.

Expressing belief that Turkmen-Lebanese reactions would be furthered successfully, Mr. Jibrail Butros Jaara said that he would apply every effort to promote mutually advantageous cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Lebanon.

The discussion of the approaches to expanding bilateral partnerships was continued during the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
