OREANDA-NEWS. August 29, 2012. Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The two presidents discussed preparations for the IX Russia-Kazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum that will take place in Pavlodar in September.

Mr Putin and Mr Nazarbayev exchanged views on integration matters within the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space, including in the context of Russia’s accession to the WTO. The two leaders also discussed opportunities for joint participation in multilateral economic projects in the Central Asian region.

Cooperation within the Collective Security Treaty Organisation was also discussed during the conversation.
