Danish consulate stationed in Chongqing, established in 2005, is the fifth foreign consulate the second European national consulate in Chongqing. After updating, the original consul Hans Halskov still holds the post of consul-general of Danish consulate-general stationed in Chongqing.

Hans Halskov said, the establishment of Danish consulate-general stationed in Chongqing means that the Danish government will pay more attention to the development of western China, will pay more attention to and further strengthen the diplomatic ties and economic and trade cooperation with western China, especially Chongqing, Chengdu etc. After updating, the consular districts of Danish consulate-general stationed in Chongqing remains the same, including Chongqing, Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou.
